Whether you are a wine connoisseur or just looking for a fun time on the water you will love our 90 minute Wine Cruise departing from Darien Georgia.

Perfect for partnering up with family and friends for something that you will talk about for years. Your tour begins with a view of the historic ruins of old town Darien where mariners from Europe loaded their ships with bounty from the new world.  We cover history here beginning in 1564.

Perfect for partnering up with family and friends and something that you will talk about for years. The beautiful marsh estuary and the creatures that live here all come together in one place.  We begin on the Darien River then travel to the Altamaha, then south along the Butler Plantation through Woods and Generals Cuts, or see Fort King George from the water as did early explorers.

      rhetts island

       birding tourB

Rhetts Island is a tidewater island and it's only access is by boat and a GORP permit.  It is home to an amazing number of wintering waterfowl such as gadwalls, green and blue-winged teal, canvasbacks, redheads and many more. Bald eagles, osprey, blue herons, wood stork, egrets, clapper rails, white ibis and many other wading birds are common year round.

We are docked at "skippers fish camp"

one of the finest seafood restaurants on the coast

Jekyll Island Hotels and Saint simons island hotels all recommend our boat tours

We are locally owned and operated by Waterfront Wine and Gourmet and by Captain Phillip's Charters and Tours LLC

“Love, love, love the Darien River Wine and Eco Cruise!!! Will do it again!”

Captain Phillip and Mike were very professional, informative and entertaining, filling us in on local history of the Darien River and surrounding marsh areas and islands. The weather was perfect for an evening cruise, and in addition to serving lovely wine, they also provided tasty light finger foods. There were a lot of awesome people on the trip, so conversation was lively as the wine flowed. Mike and Captain Phillip were incredibly hospitable and attentive to all guests on the boat. We didn't see much wildlife on the cruise, but we did have the pleasure of seeing a large bald eagles nest and even learned a little trivia (where Margaret Mitchell had gotten her inspiration for the name "Rhett Butler" in Gone With the Wind). There is very little more in the world more soothing and relaxing than being surrounded by gorgeous nature while cruising along in a boat, and I'd recommend this cruise to anyone. It's worth every penny and then some.

We took a group for this cruise in celebration of birthdays and had a very pleasant and fun experience. The weather was not the best but the views were still breathtaking and beautiful. Capitan Phillip and Jennifer were both very friendly and gave interesting historical background about Darien and the surrounding area. The wine selection and cheese tray add to the enjoyment of the tour. This experience is suited to impress the nature lover, history buff, or wine enthusiast.
“Great addition to family vacation”
